There's some interesting work going on regarding GNU/Linux support for those of us without the near-ubiquitous iPod. See this post by Aaron Bockover regarding DAP probes. I'm luckier than most since my Neuros already has an option to sync with my Ubuntu desktop, but getting playlist support from my favorite player would rock.
